The entertainment channel E! celebrated 15 years in Africa with a party which was attended by some of the biggest names in African pop culture. The event tagged E! Africa at 15, which took place Thursday night was hosted by E! Africa’s Kat Sinivasan.

Leading up to the event, E! Africa recognised some of the most-loved and influential people in the region via their E! Africa’s Pop Culture Awards. The categories included Music, Fashion, Film, TV, Social Media, Philanthropy and Ultimate Pop Culture Icon.

Bonang Matheba was honoured with E! Africa’s ultimate pop culture icon award, Nomzamo Mbatha took home an award for philanthropy, Gert Johan-Coetzee for fashion, Aisha Baker for social media, Trevor Noah for TV, Black Coffee for music and Akin Omotoso for film.
