AFWN 2017 Runway begins

AFRICA FASHION WEEK NIGERIA 2017 RUNWAY

The much anticipated AFWN 2017 has finally begun; the event was divided into three shows, the first for 2pm, 2nd 4.30pm and finally the 6pm special Daviva runway show. Upcoming designers were given a chance to showcase their exquisite designs first and they absolutely killed it. Fashion exhibitors showcased their African made and African owned brands, products ranging from clothes to accessories and more were on full display, the National Theatre was lit up like never before in a truly devout way as Africans from far and wide came to participate in supporting African brands. Designers like Stitches, Nini Kelia etc brought the the runway to life with bright and beautiful trends from embellished fabrics to crops and more, all with African print. The final show of the day was the Daviva show which featured designers Mauachi, Modela etc with designs from the new Daviva line and ABC. The event continues on Sunday 4th June 2017 with the first show at 3pm. The event is proudly supported by Nichemtex producers of Daviva and Swarovski jewelry.
