Nigerian legendary singer, John Asiemo, better known as Daddy Showkey has queried the decision of the Nigeria Police Force following the suspension of two female officers over their viral Tiktok video.
Glamsquad reported that The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, ordered the immediate suspension of the officers, Obaze Blessing and Obaze Emmanuella Uju for breach of the provisions of the Police Act, 2020, and The Nigeria Police Guidelines for Recruitment/Promotion/Discipline of Supernumerary Police (SPY) 2013.

In a statement by the spokesperson of the Force, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, he noted that the Suprenumerary police officers dressed in uniforms that are not permitted for their level and also violated the Social media policy of the police. Read here.
Reacting to the suspension in a video posted on his Instagram page, Daddy Showkey pondered on the Police hierarchy suspended the ladies. He further argued that the suspension is uncalled for.

In his opinion, the police officers portrayed the Force as an interesting place to work and should not be reprimanded for it. He said that the image of the force has been bastardized and such officers trying to help repair the image of the force should be encouraged.
