Tiwa Savage, 2Baba & Nigerian musicians who have never been nominated for a Grammy

Nigeria is a country full with talented artists, young and old, male and female. People generally feel pleased after accomplishing an accomplishment and having it acknowledged.

Most artists are unaware of their worth and are sceptical of their abilities until they begin to get recognition – this gives them some confidence that they are doing well based on the reactions of others. This is why many celebrities are typically unapologetically pleased when their followers praise their hard work, or they feel heartbroken when they give them a terrible review, for example, on a song or movie.

From a simple comment under a post or video to their music videos trending on social media platforms, to billboard ratings, to fans flocking to the cinema in large numbers to see films, to buying out their movie or music tickets, to awards being bestowed, all help to boost artists’ confidence. These and many more are the reasons why artists keep striving, attempting to go the additional mile to keep their followers and themselves satisfied.

I’ll concentrate on one important achievement of musical acts: awards. These prizes, both domestic and international, are more well recognised than others, and the higher you go, the better the award. Despite the fact that Nigeria has numerous well-known artists, many of them have never been nominated or won a Grammy award. Winning a Grammy award is significant for musicians since it is an international award given by the US Recording Academy to recognise Outstanding Achievement in the music industry.

Here is a list of ten out of many promising musical artists in Nigeria, in no particular order.
