Tiktoker, Blessing Nwakego bags two years  jail term for defaming actress, Eniola Badmus

Okoye Blessing Nwakego, popularly known as Ego on TikTok, has been convicted of defaming Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus and bagged a two-year jail term.

The Tiktoker was arraigned in court earlier on, Wednesday, 2nd August. She was then sentenced to two years imprisonment by a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos.

Blessing Nwakego was charged to court on a two-count charge bordering on cyberstalking. It was alleged that she and one Chimabia now at large “between December 2022 to July 2023, in Lagos, within the jurisdiction of the honourable court, did connive to commit felony to wit: cyberstalking and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 27 of the cybercrimes (prohibition, prevention, etc) act 2015.

After her court appearance, she was found guilty of the charges and received a one-year prison sentence, with the alternative of paying a N50,000 fine for count one.

For count two, she was given a two-year prison sentence, along with the option of paying a N100,000 fine. The sentences for count one and count two will run consecutively, while the imprisonment terms will be served concurrently.

As expected, Ego decided to go with the latter option and agreed to pay the N150,000 fine to secure her release, as information gathered online suggests.

Recall that Eniola Badmus ordered the arrest of Ego who accused her of pimping ladies to Top politicians.

In a viral video on social media,  Ego claimed that Eniola connects girls to top politicians all over Nigeria for financial benefits.

Following her allegations, Eniola ordered Ego’s arrest.

In another video, Ego retracted her statement and disclosed that she had financial difficulties and struggling to pay rent.

However, a friend approached her with two hundred thousand naira to slander Eniola Badmus.

Unfortunately for Ego, she ran out of luck as the actress fondly called ‘Badosky‘ vowed to deal with her
