This African Hairdo Has Over 30 Names Around The World! Check Them Out!!

When it comes to African hairdo, or at least the most popular ones, identifying what they are called is fairly simple across all regions of the world.

Braids is braids, Afro hair is afro, Corn rows is corn rows, sometimes cane rows, and so one.

But there is one hairdo, in particular, that doesn’t abide by these characteristics. In fact according to social media users, when asked what the hairdo was called in their country, almost everyone had a different name.

The hairstyle is executed in many ways, the most common is having small afro puffs pulled in segments.

Another way is having your braids coiled up in buns. In Ghana, the hairstyle is popularly known as Nteku Nteku, in Nigerian, it is called ku-ku.

Surprisingly, the name is different in almost every corner of the earth.
