One of Nigeria’s veteran singers, Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo better known as Blackface has accused his junior colleagues, Burna Boy, Wizkid and Davido of duplicating his music.
In a podcast interview, ‘The Honest Bunch’ hosted by OAP, Nedu, Blackface stated that Wizkid has been ‘twisting and turning his songs. Citing an example, the singer stated that Wizkid duplicated his song, ‘Ginger’, featuring Burna Boy.

Blackface, a former member of the influential 1990s group ‘Plantashun Boiz’, has persisted in accusing others of infringing on his solo work.
During the interview, Blackface emphasized the lack of proper acknowledgement within the globalized Afrobeats scene.
Nevertheless, Nedu approached his claims sceptically, urging him to substantiate the allegations.
