Portable gained news after being filmed in a viral video fighting arrest by police officers. He was imprisoned for three days before being brought before an Ogun State Magistrate Court in Ifo on a three-count charge of assault and theft of musical equipment.
He was eventually given N800,000 bail, but the Magistrate ordered Portable to be held at the Ilaro Correctional Centre awaiting the completion of his bail conditions.
Following his release, the Zazu crooner released a new song called “Federal Government Liability.” He boasted in the song about not wearing a jail uniform while incarcerated at Ilaro Correctional Center.
His new song garnered conflicting comments.
Simi praised Portable’s tenacity, saying it deserved recognition.
“Gotta give Portable his flowers lol,” she tweeted.
