Born to the royal family of Oba Adetoye in Ejigbo, a town in Lagos State, VJ Adams is a native of Ogun State. He completed his elementary and secondary education at Teammate Children School, Isolo and Lagos State Civil Service Senior Model College, Ikorodu, respectively, before moving to the University of Lagos, where he studied Civil Engineering.
He holds a certificate in journalism after training in journalism at the BBC Academy, an educational arm of the British Broadcasting Corporation. Adams is a Nigerian video jockey, television presenter, entrepreneur, executive producer, and music producer. His trip to the spotlight came after appearing in the 2008 edition of Next Movie Star West Africa.
