While accepting her award at the 2022 MTV VMAs, Lizzo made a dig at comedian Aries Spears, glamsquad reports
On Sunday, August 28, the singer received the Video for Good award for her single “About Damn Time.”
After accepting her award, she delivered a speech that was more of a rebuke to Aries Spears.
Lizzo stated: “And now for the b**ches who have said something negative about me in the press. I’m not going to say anything else.”
She went on: “‘Lizzo, why don’t you clap back?’ they say. Because b**ch, I’m the winner, ho. Ho! Big b**ches win! Your paper is the best form of retaliation, b**ch.”
While accepting her VMAs award, Lizzo claps back at Aries Spears.
Aries Spears was asked if he thought Lizzo was a good songwriter during the interview, and he responded with fatphobic remarks, saying, “I can’t get past the fact that she looks like the s**t emoji.”
