Mbappe increased his championship total to eight goals with a hat-trick against Argentina in the gripping World Cup final. Messi scored seven goals in total during the competition.
The French football player’s only solace will be winning the Golden Boot after France was defeated by Argentina 4-2 on penalties following a 3-3 draw.

Mbappe also made history since, after Geoff Hurst, who scored a hat-trick for England against Germany in the 1966 World Cup final, he is the only other player to ever do so.
