How some Nigerian celebrities celebrated father’s day

Father’s day celebration went differently for a lot of Nigerian celebrities. As some brought bad memories some brought good.

The celebration was all joyful for the likes of; Davido, Uche Ogbodo, Ayra Starr, Toyin Lawani and Olamide While for BBnaija’s Tega it brought back memory of her late dad.

Ayra Starr who took to her verified Instagram story to share a short video of her mother captioned with a happy father’s day note.

She wrote: Happy Father’s Day to my mummy.

Davido on the other hand received a lot of praise from his baby mamas on this father’s day celebration.

“Happy Father’s Day Daddy @davido God bless you for us”. Chioma Rowland took to her Inst-story to write.

Hours after her post, his second babymama, Amanda took to her Instagram story to also celebrate him.

She prayed for health and long life for him.

“Happy Father’s Day Papa Hailey. May God give you great health and long life”.

Davido took to his Insta-stories to report Chioma’s father’s day wishes to him.

Actress, Uche Ogbodo could not be left out as she celebrated her baby daddy, Bobby Marris on this special day, wishing him all the good this of life, she wrote;

“Happy Father’s Day my love. You are the best dad we could ever ask for. Thank you for being a good dad and good example to our girls. Thank you for always protecting me. I love you beyond n more. Happy Father’s Day my crown”.

Adebukunmi the wife of nigerian singer, Olamide has penned a lovely message to her darling husband.

The mother of two shared a photo of her husband online with an amazing caption, expressing her love and appreciation.

She wrote: Happy Father’s Day my love, thanks for being an amazing dad, we love you so much.

So far, BBnaija’s Tega is the only celebrity who has penned a sad message to her late father.

The Big Brother Naija season 6 ex-housemate noted that her father’s death shook her entire life.

Sharing a video online, she captioned it “I decided to leave the sound on so I can feel and hear your voice once more.

“Your passing shook my entire life and changed my entire perception about life. I couldn’t believe it happened.

“I miss you so much, I know you would have disowned me one million times by now and still loved me one million times more because you know where I carry the coconut head from.

“Although this Father’s Day would’ve been billings day but right now, I’ll choose billings over you not being here.”

She added that her son, Jamil, had insisted on staying with her late dad a few minutes after the older man passed.

Tega added, “Jamjam misses you. I remember a few minutes before your passing, Jamjam said, ‘I want to stay with gianpa’.

“Maybe he knew you were going to leave us. We love you and miss you so much.

“Happy Father’s Day, Senator (Rev) Dominic Bassey Ekpenyong. Keep resting in peace. My no-nonsense man.”
