It is no exaggeration to say that one of the most difficult parts of any proud eyeliner-wearer’s day, is getting the flick just right.
But, whether it’s the shape you’re unable to nail down or the thickness of the line, fresh inspiration comes courtesy of Selena Gomez, who wore the ultimate feline liner for an appearance on the Jimmy Fallon show.
Honouring the rule that you should be able to draw a diagonal line between the end of the liner and the end of the brow, Gomez’s feline flick had it all: depth, pigment, shape and, crucially, it was ever-so-slightly blurred, to appear less defined and therefore less harsh on the face.
Masterfully applied by make-up artist Hung Vanngo, the modern retro eye was paired with brushed-up brows and a ’60s-esque matte nude lip.
