In this week’s fashion history, we will be taking a look at the fashion history of Tory Burch. Tory Burch is an American Italian luxury fashion house founded by American fashion designer Tory Burch. The fashion house specializes in the sales of fashion lines of clothing and accessories.

Tory Burch was born in June 1966 in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. She was raised with her three brothers in a 250-year-old Georgian farmhouse near Valley Forge National historical park.
In 1988, Tory Burch graduated from the University of Pennsylvania where she majored in art history. After her college degree, she moved to New York City and worked as Zoran, a Yugoslavian designer after which she worked with Harper’s Bazaar Magazine. Later she moved into public relations and worked with Vera Wang, Loewe, and Ralph Lauren in the advertising position.
In February 2004, Burch began her fashion label and launched it with a retail store in the Manhattan Nolita district. In September 2011, the fashion house presented its first runway show at the New York fashion week and has continued the show ever since. The fashion house 2013 also launched her first fragrance and a beauty capsule collection with Estee Lauder and in the summer of 2014 introduced a line of accessories for the Fitbit flex activity tracking device. This made the fashion brand the first major fashion brand to move into wearable technology.

In 2015, she also introduced a separate performance active wear line Tory sport. By 2020, the fashion label has more than 300 stores Nationwide.
The fashion house has redefined American luxury With a global point of view and also enjoyed the power of celebrity endorsements.
