Musk’s denial comes after the Wall Street Journal reported on July 24 that his friendship with Brin had deteriorated due to the alleged affair with Nicole.

According to people familiar with the situation, Musk had a brief affair with Ms Shanahan late last year, according to the Wall Street Journal.

This prompted Brin to file for divorce earlier this year, effectively ending the two high-profile technology billionaires’ long friendship, according to the paper.

On Monday, July 25, Musk responded to a link to the story on Twitter, calling it “total bullsh*t.”

Musk went on to say that he and Brin are still friends and that they were “at a party together last night!”

Musk posted a tweet “I’ve only seen Nicole twice in three years, both times in large groups. There’s nothing romantic here “.

Musk added in another tweet, “WSJ [Wall Street Journal] has run so many bs hit pieces on me and Tesla that I’ve lost count.”
