EFCC confirms the arrest of Bobrisky over abuse of Naira

Famous crossdresser, Idris Okuneye better known as Bobrisky has been granted bail

The controversial personality has been granted bail by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), however, according to sources who spoke to Linda Ikeji’s Blog, Bobrisky is yet to meet his bail conditions.

Glamquad is yet to get details about his bail conditions. Reports also have it that his international passport has been sized.

Recall that earlier today, news broke out that Bobrisky was arrested at Pinnock Estate, in Lagos State on April 3, 2024, at 3 pm.

EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale exclusively confirmed the arrest to Linda Ikeji Blog. He further disclosed that the crossdresser was arrested for currency mutilation and abuse of the Naira and would be charged in court soon.

The commission released his mugshot along with a detailed post explaining his arrest, attributing it to his attendance at Eniola Ajao’s movie premiere, “Ajanaku.”

In response to the arrest, Netizens uncovered a video showing him spraying money at the movie premiere, with many coming to his defence, citing it as a common tradition at Nigerian events. Some alleged that the EFCC was merely using him as a scapegoat to send a message to others.
