EFCC arrests crossdresser, Bobrisky

Controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye better known as Bobrisky has been arrested.

According to reports making rounds on social media, Bobrisky was arrested at Pinnock Estate, in Lagos State on 3rd April 2024 around 3 pm.

His arrest comes as a shock to Netizens with questioning the motive behind his arrest.

Meanwhile, two days ago, a police spokesperson, Olumuyiwa Adejobi explained the reasons why individuals like Bobrisky, James Brown, and others cannot be arrested.

He emphasized the complexity of the situation, noting that while cross-dressing is not a punishable offense in Nigeria, being queer is.

He clarified that despite rumors linking cross-dressers to the LGBTQ community, without concrete evidence, they cannot be taken to court. Additionally, if brought to court, one would likely lose the case due to lack of substantial evidence.
