Carven Appoints Louise Trotter as New Creative Director

Following a four-year tenure as creative director at Lacoste, British designer Louise Trotter will take up the same position at Carven, according to WWD. She will present her debut line on the runway in September during Paris Fashion Week. Carven has been without a well-known designer and off the runways for a while so their return should be huge.

Giving an appreciation post Louise had this to say:

“I feel honored to write a new chapter for Carven: a youthful French house that to me embodies a spirit of freedom, joy and a confident femininity,”

Trotter said in a statement shared first with WWD. “I look forward to respecting Madame Carven’s legacy by making clothes with a new simplicity that are both purposeful and beautiful, whilst being kind to people and our environment.”
