Controversial singer, Ọlawale Ọlọfọrọ better known as Brymo has heavily slammed his colleague, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu better known as Burna Boy.
In an interview on Television Continental (TVC), Brymo was asked about the alleged tussle between Rema and Burna Boy, and in response, he stated that Burna Boy tagged himself as the Jesus of Afrobeats.
He further claimed that that Burna is nothing but cheap, a thief, unoriginal, and fake.
He said
I saw a video where he said he was the ‘Jesus’ (inaudible statement) and he put Davido and Wizkid on some other mountain like that.
I think he is sleazy, he is cheap, he is a thief, very unoriginal, and very fake.”

Brymo’s comments has generated heated reactions from fans. While some slammed him for seeking attention, others agreed with him.

One Jerry Charles wrote: “Sometimes I miss this guys songs, but everytime I have the urge to listen, I remember he said ‘all the Igbos are fools’.”
One Abbye wrote: “This Renown Tribalist hating on Burna Boy, how can an Artist talk down on sampling, knowing it’s a work of Art and Creativity. Global Artists like Kanye, Riri, Bey, Drake have all sample multiple songs in their career. Brymo would forever remain a local Western singer that he is.”
One Naija Moon wrote: “I support him for this. If Taylor Swift is doing Country, Rock and Alternative. Not trying to rename these genres despite their differences and popularity. What’s the prob with Blacks. There’s Afro hip hop wait till someone said he’s doing Afro trap. Just crazy!”
