Omolara Ogunmakinju ran a stunning anchor run for Nigeria, overturning a 15-meter deficit and passing Botswana in the final 30 metres.
Her amazing burst clinched Nigeria’s gold medal in a blazing 3:13.26. Despite achieving a new national record of 3:13.99, Botswana was only able to secure silver.
