Veteran singer and media personality, Charles Oputa, better known as Charly Boy has reacted to the Super Eagles’ loss at the AFCON finals.
The Ivorians who hosted the competition beat the Super Eagles 2-1 to emerge champion of the African Cup of Nations 2023.
Reacting, Charly Boy fondly called Area Fada stated that the Super Eagles tried their best however the best team won.
On his X page, he tweeted
“The Super Eagles really tried but the best team won.“Oya, make we face the demons facing us.”
Glamsquad recalls that befor the final game, Afrobeats singer, Yemi Alade had prayed to ward off any “bad luck handshake” for the Super Eagles.
She cautioned that certain individuals should refrain from bringing their bad luck by shaking hands with the Super Eagles before the match.
Recall that Yemi Alade performed at the opening ceremony of the football tournament.
While one would acknowleged that the Super Eagles tried their best, they came second in the competition.
