Microsoft announces features and prices for Office 2021

On October 5th, Microsoft will release Office 2021, and the firm is finally revealing the features and pricing.
Office 2021 will be the next standalone version of Microsoft’s Office suite, aimed at organizations and consumers that don’t want to pay for Office on a subscription basis.

Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Microsoft Teams for PC and Mac will be included in Office Home and Student 2021 for $149.99.
The price of Office Home and Business 2021 is $249.99, and it includes everything in the Home version as well as Outlook for PC and Mac, as well as the rights to use all of the Office programs for business.

 

With real-time co-authoring, OneDrive support, and even Microsoft Teams integration, Office 2021 will incorporate the collaborative features available in Microsoft 365 editions of Office.
Office 2021 will also feature a new Office design, which features a revamped ribbon interface, rounded corners, and a neutral color palette that follows the UI improvements in Windows 11.

Office 2021 will also include some Microsoft 365 capabilities, such as current Excel features, PowerPoint upgrades, improved inking in Office programs, and Outlook translation capability.

Here are all of the new features in Office 2021:

Excel:

— The XLOOKUP function in Excel aids in finding items in a table or range by row.

— Support for dynamic arrays – new Excel functions that employ dynamic arrays.

— The LET function in Excel is a feature that allows you to name computation outcomes.

— XMATCH function – this function searches an array or range of cells for a specified item and returns the item’s relative location.

— Support for OpenDocument Format (ODF) 1.3

— The Draw tab has been updated.

— Enhancements to performance

PowerPoint:

— Capture Slide Show – this new PowerPoint function allows you to record presenter video, ink, and laser pointer.

— Replay your ink strokes in PowerPoint – If you’re using ink in PowerPoint, you can now watch your graphics as they were produced.

— Arrange elements on your slides for screen readers – this lets you re-arrange elements to optimize them for screen readers.

Outlook:

— Ink and Translator – You can now annotate emails, draw on a message canvas, and translate emails into over 70 languages.

— Instant search – search results are now instantly available, with more options for refining and filtering them.

Office 2021 will be released on October 5th, coinciding with the release of Windows 11.
Office 2021 is compatible with Windows 11, Windows 10, and the three most recent versions of macOS, according to Microsoft.
