In this brand new Eclectic collection, Onwuchekwa creates a classic look from fabrics of silk, neoprene, crepes and a beautiful Intarsia knitting of birds in different positions. The looks are also with bold print details of fuchsia pink, black, mint green, cool grey and monochrome.
A true minimalist as Chikezie Daniel who is the creative director of the Onwuchekwa brand is a strong believer of Eclectism, hence the inspiration behind this collection is “ECLECTIC “. Chikezie recalls how he loves the vibrant burst of colours and the power they possess to make people burst into smiles.
Chikezie Daniel who is a 2015 Lagos fashion and design week Fashion focus finalistadds that “with this collection, I want people to learn to embrace their weird side, for I believe the weird side people try to conceal is actually the realest version of them”.
The collection gracefully re-echoes the words of George Elliott that said “it is never too late to be what you might have been”. Onwuchekwa is a platform for realism, a movement for self-actualization.
