I am proud of your accomplishments” – President Tinubu congratulates Tems on her Grammy win

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated singer, Tems on her Grammy win.

Tems clinched the award for Best African Music Performance with her song Love Me Jeje at the 67th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on February 2, 2025.

Tems’ win was significant because she beat other top Nigerian artists like Yemi Alade, Asake, Davido, and Burna Boy.

The award marks Tems’ second Grammy win. Her first came in 2023 for Best Melodic Rap Performance for her contribution to the song “Wait for U.”

Reacting to the win, President Tinubu took to X to express his pride in Tems’ achievements.

He also commended the other Nigerian artists nominated for this year’s Grammys, noting that their successes continue to inspire all Nigerians.

“Congratulations to @temsbaby on winning the Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance, “Love Me Jeje.” I am proud of her accomplishments and those of Nigerian origin who was nominated for the Grammy awards. Their achievements continue to inspire all Nigerians. Congratulations!”
