The BET Awards 2018 don’t start until June 24, 2018, But, before the main award show to honour the best for the under review, women of colour who have made remarkable contributions in their various fields were honoured during the BET Her Awards 2018.
The special night was planned by Women In Entertainment Empowerment Network (WEEN) in collaboration with BET Her and Bumble at the Conga Room, Los Angeles.
Chief Marketing Officer at Endeavor of Ghanaian heritage, Bozoma Saint John was honoured with the First Mover Award while Hollywood actress of Nigerian heritage, Yvonne Orji was honoured with Rising Star Award. In all six women walked home with different awards on night hosted by singer and songwriter, Brandy.
