#The15thHeadies: Rapper Vic O calls out organisers for not recognizing his talent

Victor Ncha Odu, also known as Vic O, a Nigerian rapper, has expressed his displeasure with the organisers of The Headies Awards for failing to nominate him for any of the categories at the recently concluded awards ceremony, despite his contributions to the music industry.

He bemoaned the requirement that you be related to a well-known person in order to be considered for an award in Nigeria.

‘I have got to be honest with everybody right now I have got to be honest with myself, I am so upset with the Headies right now, the Headies award did not even recognise me this time, they didn’t even give me anything this year, everything in Nigeria is politics, i have been dropping hits back to back…it is very wrong”, he lamented. ‘I’m a superstar mehn…. A big dawg.’ He captioned the post.

Recall that Award winning artists Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido, Patoranking and others won big at the 2022 Headies AAward

The 15th annual Headies Awards were presented on September 4 in Atlanta at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center. The show had never before taken place outside of Nigeria.

The night’s top winners were Wizkid and Tems for their international hit “Essence,” which recently won song of the year and best R&B single awards and was recently dubbed the greatest song in music history by American rapper Kanye West.

In another story,  Vic O, took to social media to celebrate when WWE legend John Cena followed his account.

Vic O stated in a video that Cena follows him on the microblogging network Twitter.

The rapper stated that he is a big fan of the actor/wrestler and utilized his characteristic phrase, “You can’t see me.”
