Adegboyega Ikwue Ogunlesi, commonly known as Adey, an afrobeats producer, claims he was fired at during an interaction with Nigerian police in Lagos.
According to him, the officers who fired at him stated he attempted to kill them on the highway. He said that the officers nearly destroyed his automobile by snatching the steering wheel and directing him into a ditch.

On his X handle, he said, “Nigerian police shot at me today, claimed I tried to kill them, and nearly totaled my car by grabbing the steering wheel and driving me into a ditch.”
“No wahala.”
In another post, the music producer lamented that he was tired of Nigeria and the police brutality in the country.
The Lagos State Police Command has not yet responded to the allegations
