Burna Boy vs Speed Darlington saga: Paulo Okoye slams Deji Adeyanju

Music executive and show promoter, Paulo Okoye has called out lawyer and activist, Deji Adeyanju for dragging Afrobeat singer, Burna Boy into the controversy surrounding Speed Darlington’s rearrest.

Glamsquad reported that controversial rapper, Speed Darlington fondly called known as Akpi was rearrested in the early hours of Wednesday barely two months after he was arrested for releasing a controversial video allegedly mocking Burna Boy’s ties with embattled American rapper Sean Diddy, who is entangled in FBI investigations over charges of sexual exploitation.

Following social media outcry and plea from his mother, Queen, as Speed Darlington’s lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Stan Alieke secured his release via bail.

Reacting to the rearrest, Deji Adeyanju slammed Burna Boy for singing legendary Fela Kuti’s lines of activism while oppressing people.

Paulo hit back at Deji Adeyanju on his Instagram story, criticizing the human rights lawyer for attacking Burna Boy.

He accused Adeyanju of being a “social media lawyer” with no right to tarnish the singer’s reputation. Paulo called on him to get his facts straight and advise his client accordingly, urging him to show some respect for Burna Boy.

He wrote,

“Deji Adeyanju or whatever they call you!!!! Can you put respect on Burna Boy’s name. Why are you even calling Burna Boy’s name?? Smh. You are nothing more than a social media lawyer. Lawyer my a$$$. Get your facts right before you open your gutter mouth. Control your client.”
