NCS moves Bobrisky to Kirikiri prison

The Nigerian Correctional Service embattled controversial crossdresser, Idris Okuneye better known as Bobrisky has been moved to Kirikiri prison following his sentencing last week.

According to reports, the Nigerian Correctional Service transferred Bobrisky from the Ikoyi Correctional Center to Kirikiri prison last weekend. The source explained that the transfer is part of the standard procedure due to Kirikiri’s larger capacity compared to Ikoyi and for security purposes.

The source said, “It is procedural that he is moved to Kirikiri since it is an expansive prison compared to what we have here”.

Glamsquad recalls that Bobrisky was arrested at Pinnock Estate, in Lagos State on 3rd April 2024 around 3 pm by the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for abuse of Naira and money laundering.

Following this, Bobrisky was granted administrative bail but was unable to meet the conditions attached to it.

Following his appearance in court and pleading guilty to the charges Naira abuse, Bobrisky was sentenced to six months imprisonment by Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Lagos Division of the Federal High Court.

Subsequently, Nigerian Correctional Services (NCoS) has disclosed that the crossdresser will be kept in the male section of the prison facility throughout his six-month sentence.

The NCoS in its update disclosed that there was no evidence of gender or genital organ realignment in Bobrisky’s body. Recall that the crossdress had often admonished Netizens to refer to him as a woman having allegedly undergone surgery to change his organ.
