Nollywood veteran actor, John Okafor better known as Mr Ibu as he is finally laid to rest amidst tears.
Glamsquad reported that Mr Ibu had battled for his life months before and had one of his legs amputated due to complications passed away on 2nd March 2024.
Emeka Rollas, the president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria confirmed the news and disclosed that the actor died of cardiac arrest.
Mr Ibu’s death threw the industry into mourning because he was loved by many and had made our childhood memorable.

On Wednesday, 27th June, a night of tribute was held for the late veteran, which had in attendance many of his colleagues.
Today, June 27th Mr Ibu has been laid to rest in Nkanu West local government area, Enugu state. The sober occasion saw notable figures such as beloved Anambra politician, Peter Obi,
Charles Inojie, Victor Osuagwu, Charles Aurum, Patience Ozokwo, Nkem Owoh, Zark Orji, and others, all there seated to honor their late friend and peer.
