Fans, lovers, and family members of the ailing actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, are facing a challenging time as he undergoes another amputation.
The veteran actor underwent another surgery, resulting in the amputation of his leg once again. Vanguard reports that a section of the same leg previously amputated has been removed.
Recent reports indicate a decline in his health, reaching a point where he rarely speaks.
Dr. Emeka Rollas, the National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, shared an update, stating that they, along with others, have accepted the fate of both Mr Ibu and Amaechi Muonagor, who is also unwell.
He confirmed Mr Ibu’s additional leg amputation and mentioned the actor’s limited ability to speak.
“We are resigning to fate concerning the two actors. As I speak with you, Mr Ibu hardly talks again and he has undergone another leg amputation.
“You will shed tears if you see Amaechi Muonagor now, his legs are completely paralyzed. I’m calling on all fans and well-wishers of the actor to join hands with other philanthropic Nigerians to support him in this dire time.”
