Mohbad: Fresh FM bans all songs under Marlian Records

The administration of Ekiti State’s renowned radio station, Fresh FM 106.9, has banned the airplay of all songs released under the Marlian Records label.

Oluwaseunfunmi Williams, Fresh FM’s Head of Production and Music Content, made the announcement in a statement made available to newsmen on Tuesday.

“Following the public outpouring of grief over the death of singer Mohbad. The alleged victimisation stemming from many viral videos, as well as the involvement of members of his old record company, Marlian, which is owned by prominent Nigerian artiste Naira Marley. “#JusticeforMohbad,” stated the statement.

Mohbad, a former Marlian Records signee, died last Tuesday under unknown circumstances.

On Monday, police formed a special investigation team to look into the singer’s death.

The team is expected to submit an interim report within two weeks.
