It was an fun filled event as movers and shakers of the fashion industry gathered together for Mercedes Fashion Week 2015 recently at Melrose Arch, Johannesberg, South Africa.
Talented South African designers such as Siviwe James, Arnold Phasha, Armand Dicker, Martell Ludik and Neo Seratito showcased exceptional pieces from their new collections.
According to the spokesperson for African Fashion International, Sizwe Nzimande “We want to provide the international fashion community with a glimpse into the unique and innovative nature of African design and creativity”.
“At Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Joburg 2015, our primary focus will be fostering the creative independence of talented new artists emerging from South Africa, and providing retail opportunities for these designers within a global consumer-base. We want to provide the international fashion community with a glimpse into the unique and innovative nature of African design and creativity“.
Highlight of the event was performance by Nhlanhlan Nciza of a popular music group Mafikizolo wowed everyone with their songs and dance.
