May Edochie’s attorney accuses Yul of neglecting his children’s needs

Emeka Ugwuonye, the legal counsel of May Edochie has alleged that actor, Yul Edochie has stopped providing for their children.

In a video, Ugwuonye claimed that Yul has repeatedly instructed his children to ask their mother for financial support, asserting that she earns more than he does.

The lawyer made these remarks while criticizing Nigerians who compare Yul and May’s marriage to that of Ned Nwoko and Regina Daniels.

He clarified that Nwoko married his wives under Customary law, which allows multiple marriages, unlike Sharia law, which limits a Muslim man to four wives. Nwoko, wanting more wives, chose the law that permitted him to marry an unlimited number.

Ugwuonye further alleged that Judy is conducting a “campaign of calumny and smear” against May, making false statements to diminish others’ respect and admiration for her.

Yul is not supporting his children as we speak, at all. Indeed, Yul told his daughter that their mother is making more money than him now. Can you imagine? So you are going into polygamy and you can’t take care of the children? So please don’t compare the two.”

In 2022, Yul Edochie married his colleague, Judy Austin, against the wishes of his first wife, May.
