The Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild’s basement, whose top salons have long been utilized for couture exhibitions, is where the event was actually held. With models coming at a leisurely, almost reverent pace and making eye contact with the audience, which included Doja Kat and Kylie Jenner, Roseberry recreated something of the old-fashioned haute couture shows in the dimly lighted, chandelier-lit auditorium.

Similar to the cape that debuted during the event, which featured the broad shoulders of an eagle or phoenix (the mascot of the show was a phoenix, Roseberry stated), the silver lozenge embroidery was placed to resemble shimmering feathered wings. Or a black party dress with a tulle skirt that is permanently kicked up, revealing a richly rhinestone-adorned underneath in a coppery pink. The millefeuille circles used to trim the arabesque hems of an hourglass dress was another stunning technique.

With its unique mix of tradition and futuristic elements, the Schiaparelli Fall 2024 Couture Collection continues to push boundaries and redefine what it means to be at the forefront of high fashion.
