Badgley Mischka Spring Summer 2023 Ready To Wear Collection were remarkable as models walked down the catwalk in amazing colorful dresses; from bubblegum Barbie pink to egg yolk orange.
The fashion house gave their all in the production of the 2023 collection. Their gala-ready costumes came in a range of vibrant hues and were made of formal materials including satins, mikados, chiffons, organzas, and crepes.

The ruffles were used extensively. According to Badgley, “We played with a lot of volume while tied to a streamlined form.” Although the flouncy, off-the-shoulder ruffled gown in the same tone was beautiful, the rose-like ruffled sleeves on the neon green jacket were challenging to wear.
The pair experimented with using crinoline by applying full skirts under a sheer, embroidered shirt dress. For their Upper East Side ladies-who-lunch clientele, it appeared ideal. The yellow brocade dress begged to be worn to The Frick’s opening; it had a ruffled shoulder and puffy sleeves.
The designers intended to capture the unashamed love of color that permeates the architecture and artisan markets of the two Moroccan cities in their spring collection. Our goal, according to Badgley, was to create a route for our girls to wear lovely, vibrant, and joyful clothing. James and I frequently choose neutral color schemes, but we never receive the same positive response for nighttime as we do when we use color.
