American singer and model, Casandra Elizabeth Ventura better known as Cassie has broken her silence after the 2016 footage of her ex-boyfriend Sean “Diddy” Combs abusing her in a hotel hallway emerged.
Cassie took to her Instagram page to share a statement where she thanked fans for the support and spoke of her “healing journey”, which is ongoing after the ordeal.
She wrote
“Thank you for all of the love and support from my family, friends, strangers and those have yet to meet. The
outpouring of love has created a place for my younger self to settle and feel safe now. but this is only the
beginning. Domestic Violence is THE issue. It broke me down to someone I never thought would become. With
a lot of hard work, I am better today, but will always be recovering from my past,
Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to take this matter seriously. My only ask is that EVERYONE open
your heart to believing victims the first time. It takes a lot
of heart to tell the truth out of a situation that you were powerless in.I offer my hand to those that are still livina in fear. Reach out to your people, dont cut them off. t’ro one should
carry this weight alone.

Recall that Sean “Diddy” Combs reacted to the video of the assault he melted on Cassie eight years ago.
He shared a video on his Instagram page, apologizing for his behaviour. Diddy expressed that he is truly sorry for his actions, though he acknowledged they are inexcusable.
Well, the video received backlash and criticism as many noted that he only apologised because the video got out and didn’t direct any apology to the victim. Read here
