Nigerian musicians are increasingly showcasing their diverse talents. In the latest development, Afrobeats star, Burna Boy is set to take in the movie industry.
Burna Boy will be producing his first movie titled “3 Cold Dishes”.
Burna Boy will produce the film through Spaceship Films, the production company he founded with his manager and mother, Bose Ogulu, in 2015.
The ‘Last Last’ crooner will co-produce the upcoming thriller alongside Ifind, Alma Productions, Asurf Films, Martian Network, and Black Mic Mac, a production company dedicated to showcasing African and Middle Eastern talent.
AMVCA award winning director, Asurf Oluseyi will direct the movie.
Oluseyi in an interview with Variety Magazine described the 3 Cold Dishes as a “testament to the strength and resilience of its characters,” and an “African cinematic journey like no other.”
The film features an all-star cast of Nollywood’s finest, including Osas Ighodaro, Wale Ojo, Femi Jacobs, Ruby Akubueze, Brutus Richards, and Greg Ojefua. Additionally, the movie showcases international talent with Ivorian actors Fat Toure and Maud Guerard, as well as Senegalese stars Amelie Mbaye and Mentor Ba.
