Musician Tuface whose real name is Innocent Idibia finally received a honourary University degree yesterday from Igbinedion University Okada. The University gave him a Master’s degree in Music.
This can be said to said to be a degree reflecting on his relentless commitment to hard work and developing of himself in his chosen field of music. Although the singer has been mocked in the past for being a drop out hard work and dedication made him to stand out of his peers in the music Industry.
I would like to relate his recent certification with this line from the remix of his song Nfana Nbaga where he said “just because I finsh from street school, some people dem take me for a fool”, an alteration from the original line that says “just because I no finish school some people dem take me for a fool”.
Street school in this context means the singer can relate with his practical education in music making and entertainment over the years as actual education. But thanks for Igbinedion University for recognizing this and making it official.
See it took Tuface almost 20 years to get his university degree. So word to the youths, stay in school and get yours in a shorter span. Tuface posted a capture of his certificate on Instagram and captioned ;”A big thank you to all the good people of igbinedion University Okada. Words cannot express my gratitude”.
