The city of Thailand has been thrown into mourning following the death of Ms Rattana Ramchatu who won the coveted crown of Miss Thailand 2017 of Uthai Thani died in road accident in Prachuab Khiri Khan.
Four days after her coronation, Ms Rattana was traveling with a friend from Chomphon to Bangkok due to her charity work as part of being Miss Grand Uthai Thani.
The car plugged into a shallow roadside ditch and crashed into a tree. The two victims were taken to the hospital immediately, Rattana was pronounced dead on arrival. Her friend was behind the wheel at the time of the accident. The organizing committee of Miss Grand International 2017 expressed their deep condolences on their official page.
