Oluwo of Iwo and his wife, Olori Firdaus, welcome first child

Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi, the Oluwo of Iwo, and his Kano wife, Olori Firdaus, have welcomed their first child, glamsquad reports

Alli Ibrahim, the monarch’s press secretary, announced the baby’s arrival in a statement issued on Wednesday night, March 15, 2023.

 

“Oluwo expressed gratitude to Olodumare (God) for blessing my home with the handsome, promising child,” according to the statement.

“It’s difficult to carry a baby for months. I congratulate my queen on the birth of her first child. She is deserving of praise. I have complete faith in whatever comes from her womb. The child will be more powerful and prosperous than I am. Congratulations once more to Firdaus, my beautiful, elegant, respectful, and loving queen.”

 

On March 19, 2022, the couple married in Kano State.

 

The monarch’s most recent marriage, to a Jamaican named Chanel Chin, which produced a son, ended in divorce in December 2019.
