My new album ‘Timeless’ was either going to make, break me – Davido

David Adeleke, nicknamed Davido, a Nigerian afrobeats musician, has declared that his current album ‘Timeless’ was his last chance to make an acceptable record, glamsquad reports

Davido stated on a recent episode of the +44 podcast that the 17-track album would either make or break him.

The ‘Assurance’ singer expressed his delight that his album was finally accepted by fans after the fourth request.

“This is me telling myself the truth; this album was either going to make or break me,” he explained. People don’t want to say it directly to my face. But, whether they choose to lie to them or not, everyone knows the truth about what is going on in their lives.

“There were situations when I was recording this album I was like ‘mehn! I’m going to go like this, I’m going to go like this?’

“So, when I went to sleep and woke up, my phone was nowhere to be found, so I went insane.” I sent everyone away an hour before the record came out, said my prayers, and went to bed. I had now overslept.

“I just wanted to sleep for about an hour and thirty minutes so that we could celebrate.” I had now overslept. I awoke at 3 a.m. ‘Ye!’ I exclaimed. Because I have a large suite, I was seeking for my phone. I went to the living room, but no one was celebrating in my room. I was terrified, as if something terrible had happened.

“So I ran downstairs and banged on my assistant’s door, ‘what’s going on, what’s going on?'” He stated
