The Lagos State Police Command held a press statement on Friday to inform the public about the investigations carried out so far concerning the untimely death of singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba better known as Mohbad.
According to Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Idowu Owohunwa who gave the briefing stated that Mohbad began vomiting and developed goosebumps after he was injected three times by a nurse, Feyisayo Ogedemgbe, on September 12, 2023.
He stated that Mohbad’s childhood friend, Primeboy had a violent fight with the singer at his show in Ikorodu, leading to an injury that cost him his life.
“Primeboy attended the show at Ikorodu in Mohbad’s company on 10th September 2023. At the end of the show, they engaged in a violent fight during which Mohbad was injured. The of nature the injury subsequently resulted in his death”.
It is worth noting that the CP also stated that Mohbad refused to visit a hospital for proper treatment which subsequently led to his death.
The CP said Mohbad was brought in dead to the hospital, and he was certified dead by doctors on duty on September 12.
CP Idowu further stated that as of today, a total of 26 witnesses have been interviewed. He said those interrogated include Mohbad’s father, mother, sisters, brother, wife and manager among several others.
