As the leadership of Accomplish Magazine began putting resources in place for executing our 2024 plans, the very unbelievable news of the demise of its Editorial Board Chairman, Dr. Austin Nweze, broke! That was precisely on January 2!
How could the easy-going, multi-skilled, strategy-bank and champion of good governance exit so soon? Team Accomplish is still baffled but decided to surrender to the will of He who knows the end from the beginning! One of its ace contributors, Chief Victor Olenwunne, wrote a beautiful tribute on Dr. Nweze.
Still on the issue of death, the death, by suicide, of Amarachi, a staff member of a bank in Nigeria caught the attention of Accomplish Magazine. The piece by Segun McMedal, a public relations consultant, seeks to know if Amarachi’s case is a lone occurrence or part of rising work-related suicides.
The magazine took a bold step to promote an African who could be described as the inventor of the era in many respects. Maxwell Sangulani Chikumbutso, the Zimbabwean inventor who’s referred to as “Africa’s Tesla” has literally wowed the entire world! Surprisingly, there have been threats to his life and we’re wondering who’s going after him and why.
Not to forget, the February edition provided ideas for high network individuals who wanted to give something extraordinary to loved ones.
Tolu Akinruli’s “Women in Politics: The Positives, The Warts” looked at the impression women who have held public office have left behind. Can women be the answer to corruption-free public service?
