This was revealed in a recent interview with Hot 97 FM in New York, USA.

At the age of 12, the Finesse singer worked as an intern for legendary producer ID Cabasa.

“I got my first internship when I was 12,” he explained. It was a massive record label in Nigeria called Coded Tunes, run by one of the industry’s biggest legends. ID Cabasa is his name.

“That’s who I interned for before I started learning about rocks.” Before that, I had taught myself how to play the keys, the drums, a little bit of the flute, piccolo, saxophone, and guitar, and so on. “However, that internship really catapulted me into the full music producer/songwriter vibe.”

Pheelz also stated that he was a genius in school, particularly in Further Mathematics, but that music consumed all of his time.
