I promised not to return home until I become millionaire – Candy Bleakz

Blessing Mariam Akiode, better known as Candy Bleakz, a rising Nigerian musician, has said that when she ran away from home at the age of 16, she made a pledge to herself that she would not return until she became a millionaire, glamsquad reports

The Chocolate City signee revealed this while appearing on Ebuka Obi-Uchendu’s Channels TV show, Rubbin’ Minds.

She said, “While leaving home, I left with a mindset that, ‘I’m leaving home to feed home.’ And I didn’t want to go back home except I’m going home with the big bags. So, I do communicate [with my family] but I did not want to go home. Because you that left home for long time, for you to go back home, the siblings are there, the family, what people think, what people are seeing online; they think this person has trillions in your account. So, to go come home, I really had to like have enough bags [of money]. But I have been communicating.”

Candy Bleakz revealed that she had lately reconnected with her family.

The ‘Wole’ singer stated that her parents are proud of her and the career she has chosen.

She claimed that they had no idea she was a vocalist until she became famous.
