HALIMA ADEN WITHDRAWS FROM THE FASHION INDUSTRY

Halima Aden the very first woman to appear in the miss Minnesota USA pageant wearing a hijab has come to an end road in the runway fashion industry due to certain clashes between the fashion industry and her religious beliefs.

Thanks to her mother who constantly reminds her of her faith and at same time stood by her despite the differences between Halima’s career and her religion.

She was brutally honest when she said ” Halima, I’ve worked hard to do well by Allah and I’m afraid for your akhira, so think about the next little hijab wearing girl that enters this industry_ Halima wrote.

Halima Aden who on several occasions has appeared in some of the world’s famous magazines like British Vogue, Allure, Vogue Arabia, mentioned that she has had to compromise some of her religious beliefs on several occasions for the sake of her job – these includes missing her prayer times usually for all Islamic faith or agreeing to model without a hijab on when asked to do so.

I am taking a stand for myself but I am also taking a stand for all the people who lost their soul to fashion – Halima Aden.
