Gucci Welcomes Japanese Figure Skating Star Yuzuru Hanyu as Brand Ambassador

Fashion house, Gucci has named Japanese figure skater, Yuzuru Hanyu as its new brand ambassador.

Hanyu is known for his exceptional talent and captivating performances on the ice, Hanyu brings a unique blend of athleticism and artistry that resonates with Gucci’s commitment to creativity and innovation. As one of the most decorated figure skaters in history, Hanyu’s global popularity and influence make him an ideal choice to represent the brand on an international stage.

Hanyu began his skating career at the age of four and has won two gold medals in men’s single figure skating at two consecutive Olympic Games, Sochi in 2014 and Pyeongchang in 2018. Also in 2018, he was the youngest recipient of the People’s Honor Award, presented by Japan’s prime minister to recognize widely esteemed persons whose contributions have inspired society.

Gucci’s male ambassadors include Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner, actor and singer Xiao Zhan, British soccer player Jack Grealish, American-born and South Korea-based rapper and entrepreneur Jay Park, Japanese actor Jun Shison, Paul Mescal, Bad Bunny, and A$AP Rocky.
