Embattled Yoruba actor, Olanrewaju James Omiyinka popularly known as Baba Ijesha, will be arraigned at the Magistrate Court 1, Yaba, today June 16, by 9am.
GlamSquadMagazine reports that Baba Ijesha was arrested in April for allegedly sexually molesting a minor, the foster daughter of comedienne Princess.
It would be recalled that Olumuyiwa Adejobi, spokesperson for the Lagos police command said the alleged crime involving the actor is a “very sensitive” matter and as such would be treated in accordance with the law.
Mr Adejobi, in an interview with City People TV on Thursday, June 3, said the actor would soon be arraigned once the striking judiciary workers resume.
“He has a case to answer based on the DPP report and he is going to be prosecuted accordingly when the courts resume, he is going to be charged to court and he will face his charges,” he said.
Baba Ijesha is currently under investigation and in police custody in Panti for more than one month. He was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.
