Kerry Washington has graced the September 2020 issue of Town & Country magazine, and she is shedding light on the impactful behind-the-scenes work taking place in the US court of law.
According to the publication, she was photographed on location in Los Angeles, while “styling, hair, and makeup were all done through video chat, with each collaborator directing from afar.”
As the American actress, producer and director herself put it, “We’ve all had to adjust to what ‘normal’ looks like in times of Covid. This was definitely NOT a normal photoshoot. It was a socially distanced, labor of LOVE.”
In the accompanying interview, Kerry opened up about her work in entertainment and passion for justice along with featured legal practictioners. Her latest project, The Fight, is a documentary that focuses on the work of ACLU lawyers during the Trump administration.
“One of the other goals of the film for me is to have young people be inspired to join this fight,” Washington says about her most recent project. “Part of that for me is to have young people who are thinking about law school or are in law school, to understand how gratifying and important this work is. And we do that by celebrating it publicly.”
